A real terminal

Open a session and you get a shell into that box, on your phone. Not a log viewer, a terminal.

Use it to look around when an agent says something surprising, check a file yourself, or run the one command it is easier to run than to explain.

Terminals survive quitting the app. Come back and yours is where you left it, still running whatever you started.

Sending files from your phone

Share a file from any app on your phone straight into a job’s folder on your Mac. It goes over the encrypted link between your devices, with no cloud service in between and nothing uploaded anywhere.

This is the fastest way to hand an agent a photo, a PDF, or a screenshot of the thing you are trying to describe.

Live preview

When an agent is running a dev server in its box, you can see it on your phone. The page renders live, over the same encrypted session, with no public tunnel and nothing exposed to the internet.

Tap the preview toggle on a session that has a server running. It is the difference between reading that a layout was fixed and seeing that it was.

Files

Every session has its files, browsable from the phone. Open them, share them out, or hand them to another job.

Because the workspace is durable, the files are still there long after the worker that made them has gone.

Tagging a session you started yourself

If you run Claude Code in your own terminal, Operator can adopt that session. Its approvals then come to your phone like any other, and it lands on your timeline with the same audit trail.

This is the one case where approvals cover essentially everything the agent tries to do, because it is running on your real machine rather than inside a sandbox. It is worth turning on for the work you do at your desk.
